About Me

Hi, my name is Alex Bachmatiuk, and I am in my second year at Flinders University studying a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education with a Bachelor of Arts. I have always loved being around children, and continue to have a passion with learning about children's thinking and developmental processes. Children are incredibly intriguing to me, as they are continuously learning and discovering new things for the first time in their lives. I get a great sense of joy when I see a child engaging with certain objects or activities, and seeing them light up when they admire something they have done or created.

When I have completed my degree, I would love to work in a Kindergarten or as a reception/year 1 teacher, as I love working and interacting with children at this age. I am still undecided as to what path I will take for sure, but I will soon find out where my passion lies.

I will be posting updates on my latest findings based on children's learning and development in Literacy and Numeracy (Birth-4 years old) under the module tabs. I hope my posts are useful and beneficial to you in some way.
